Essential Qualifications and Skills for the Role:
1. Relevant Qualification:
A qualification in Early Childhood Education or Child Development at Level 3 or above.
2. Proven Managerial Experience:
A minimum of 2 years demonstrated experience in a managerial or leadership role within a childcare setting.
3. Leadership and Motivation:
Strong leadership abilities, with a proven track record of motivating and inspiring staff to achieve high standards of care and education.
4. Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with parents, staff, and external agencies.
5. Knowledge of Legislation:
Sound knowledge of current legislation, policies, and best practices relating to childcare and early childhood education.
6. Collaboration Skills:
Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders, including parents, colleagues, and external organizations, to ensure the best outcomes for children.
7. Requirements:
This permanent position requires up-to-date knowledge of the EYFS, two references, and completion of DBS checks.
8. First Aid Certification (Desirable):
A current First Aid certification is desirable but not essential.
